Sharing Stories From Land & Sea

Why Another Podcast?

Some conversations are not safe to have within the walls of the church or other faith communities. Jeremy and Thomas have spent more than a decade serving in the evangelical culture and know this well. In a culture in which people’s jobs and livelihoods can be wrapped-up in religious institutions, we can often shy away from hard discussions, differing opinions, and beliefs pushing the lines of orthodoxy.

How Will This Benefit The World?

Mockingbirds and Mariners is for those within the lines of orthodoxy and those outside the lines. It is for those who follow Jesus, Muhammad, Yahweh, or no God at all. We hope to create a space where experts and non-experts can converse about deeply held beliefs and convictions in which all people and views are heard. The hope is that through this process, all of us can learn from one another and reflect more accurately the image of God in the world.

What You Can Expect?

On this podcast you will hear interviews from a wide variety of people. Some will be experts in their field, others will not. Some will be followers of Jesus, some will not. Some will be conservative and some will be liberal. You will agree with some and disagree with others. Sit back, listen, agree, disagree, and hopefully learn something along way.

The Podcast

Stories aren’t just found in a good book, they’re hidden behind the eyes of the person right in front of you. They have flesh, they have feelings, and they have a name.

But are we willing to listen?
